Yoga has traditionally be known to come from India.  China also has a great yoga tradition.  Yoga creates balance in the mind and body through developing strength, flexibility and equanimity. This is done through the practice of poses or postures, each of which has powerful physical, mental and spiritual benefits. The poses can be done quickly in succession, creating heat in the body through movement or more slowly to increase stamina and perfection of each pose. The poses are a constant, but the approach to them varies depending on the tradition in which the teacher is trained.
