Tuesday Morning Chen Style Qigong & Tai Chi Class

For First Time Students

This 60 minute class is a great way to start or deepen your practice in Tai Chi or Qigong.  The Chen Style class will be held in the beautiful Holmby Park near Westwood and Bel Air.  Begin to enhance your natural immune system and learn to cultivate your inner energy or Qi (Chi) along with producing a harmonious unification of the mind, body and spirit while toning and lengthening muscles and tendons.

Tuesday Morning Yang Style Short Form Tai Chi Class

This 60 minute class is scheduled in the morning on Tuesdays and afternoon on Wednesdays tol support you in building a more expanded tai chi short form practice or provide a convenient way to get started with the full short form of tai chi.  This class in perfect for continuing students to get form corrections in the short form. The class will be held in Holmby Park.

Monday Morning Sun Style Tai Chi Class - Spring of 2018

The sun-style tai chi is well known for its smooth, flowing movements which omit the more physically vigorous crouching and leaping of some other styles of tai chi. The footwork of Sun style is unique, when one foot advances or retreats the other follows. It also exhibits small circular movements with the hand. Its gentle postures and high stances make it very suitable experience to develop balance, inner peace and expanded wellbeing.

Saturday Yang Style Short and Long Form Tai Chi 

These 60 minute classes are scheduled on Saturday to support you in building a more expanded tai chi short form practice or provide a convenient way to get started with the full short form of tai chi.  This class in perfect for continuing students to get form corrections in the short form. Push Hands and Qi Cultivation - All Levels from Beginners to Advanced Private Instruction

This 60 minute class will enhance your current practice with Tai Chi or Qigong. In this class you will learn to interact with others with Qi. Push Hands is an interactive energy activity that teaches the student how to root into the ground, cultivate more qi and to extend qi outward.  Basic push hands principles are built around qi cultivation techniques along with interior and exterior neutralization of in-coming qi from others. After each class you will feel a new level of energy that cannot be explained but only experienced. 
Experienced push hands practitioners learn to interact with others with more advanced techniques. Your rootedness will deepen and you will begin to shape your push hands skills into your own unique practice.  More advanced push hands principles are built on the foundations established from basic practices and after each class you will continue to feel newer and more expanded levels of energy cultivation and realize a great power that has be resting in your inner nature that is ready to be fully embodied and utilized by you!

Tai Chi Sword Class (60 minutes)  Experience all the benefits of a regular tai chi class but learn how to experience and send life force into another object.  In this class a chinese tai chi sword is the object used is an classic tai chi sword form set that brings a great sense of power and awareness into the whole tai chi experience.  The postures and movements all accord with the principles of yin and yang and build an intimate awareness with one’s natural internal and external energy building a great sense of inner peace.

Wednesday Evening Healing Meditation and Qigong

This class is held on Wednesday evenings and has been expanded to awaken and engage the healer within.  The class will begin in silent meditation and then move into powerful healing techniques based in chinese medicine principles and designed to build the student's awareness and understanding of the principles behind qigong and tai chi as a healing method and way to live a long and harmonious life.
